Today is the third class in our current four-class set. Today's reading is about an employee who was disciplined at work. The vocabulary words will come from the reading. • controversial - (adj) giving rise or likely to give rise to public disagreement.

• hardened travelers- anyone who is hardened is tough. If you travel a lot and can endure a lot you are hardened. 
• harem of females- a harem is a group of wives
• what he lacks in looks he makes up in brawn- the beach master elephant seal is ugly but strong. 
• continue to hold the fort- this means protecting one's territory.
