Independent Study 9

Today is the fifth class of our current twelve class set. We are scheduled to end this session June 9th.

The phrase of the week is, "there was a rub." This phrase comes from Shakespeare's Hamlet. The line goes like this, "To die — to sleep. To sleep — perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub!" We use this phrase to describe a problem or complication. For example, "I tried to book a hotel, but there was a rub. It turns out there is a conference scheduled that weekend. So, there were no hotel rooms available." The conference scheduled that week is the rub.

The reading today is about learning styles and our listening material is another love story. The vocabulary words will come from the reading material. Please be able to describe them in class.
