Today's reading is about supply chain trends and our listening material is about FoodCloud, an Irish company that connects companies to charities. Our vocabulary words will come from our reading. Please be able to describe them. 

Vocabulary

• unprecedented - (adj) never done or known before.
• catalyst - (noun) a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change. OR a person or thing that sparks an event.
• feasibility - (noun) the state or degree of being easily or conveniently done.
• orchestrate - (verb) arrange or direct the elements of (a situation) to produce a desired effect, especially surreptitiously.

Thirty percent of food                                      is wasted. At a time when almost one billion people across the world don’t have enough to eat. Our idea was to connect supermarkets directly with charities in their                                                 through a technology platform. But we realized that a lot of surplus food was happening earlier in the supply chain. So last year we launched FoodCloud hubs in Dublin, Galway, and Cork. That allowed us to connect food industry from                                 the supply chain- farmers, manufacturers, producers with large                                             of surplus food to charities across Ireland. To date, we have                                               16 million meal equivalents across the UK and Ireland. And while we are really proud of what we have achieved to date there’s opportunity to do way more.
