And out last word in business today is ruffled, as in feathers.
Fly fisherman are peeved at a new trend fashion, inspired in part, by American Idol judge Steven Tyler. The rock star wears feathers in his hair. Not ordinary feathers but the long rooster feathers used by fly fisherman as lures. Now women and their hairdressers are flocking to fly fishing shops and snapping up these feathers as hair accessories. The craze has driven up prices and depleted supplies leaving many fishermen high and dry.
And that's the business news on MORNING EDITION from NPR News. I'm Renee Montagne.
