In this class we are going to focus on debate. Debate is very popular with students, and is a great way to practice and grow your language skills. We are all students of debate, so we will spend the first couple of classes understanding the mechanics.

I have included a short reading about a debate organization, and a video introducing a topic. The topic is, “Is technology ruining relationships.” I want you to come to class with one reason supporting the claim- technology is ruining relationships and one reason against the claim.

I want this to be fun, but I also want you to share ideas, grow closer together and build confidence speaking. At first you will debate me, and then each other, and finally others.

For class tuition- April 25th and May 2nd will count as one class set. Please send a tuition fee for two classes. The new class period will follow the current Schedule. The May four class set will begin May 9th.
