Today is the first class of our new four-class set. We will begin with our editing exercise. Our grammar unit today is unit 129.
The phrase of the week is, "have a gist." This phrase means to have an understanding of something. For example, "I didn't hear exactly what she said, but I got the gist."
This months theme is office life. Our reading today is about weekly reports. Our listening material is a dialogue about motivation. Please read and listen, and bring your questions about the material to class. The vocabulary words will come from the reading. I will describe the words and you have to guess which one it is and tell me another English word that is similar.
