Today is the third class in our current four-class set. We will begin class with our collocations exercise. Our reading today is about plagiarism. We will begin to wrap up Serial. We got to Episode 5 with is almost halfway. I'm really happy that we got this far and I consider it a success! Vocabulary

  • cull - (verb) select from a large quantity; obtain from a variety of sources. (noun) a selective slaughter of wild animals.
  • kickback  - (noun) a payment made to someone who has facilitated a transaction or appointment, especially illicitly.
  • fabricate - (verb) invent or concoct (something), typically with deceitful intent. ALSO,  construct or manufacture (something, especially an industrial product), especially from prepared components.
  • complicit - (adj) involved with others in an illegal activity or wrongdoing.

Listening Question: Do the celebrities think that Adnan is guilty? What do they keep repeating?
