Today is the first class in our new four-class set. The phrase of the week is, "put a lid on it." We use this phrase when we want someone to be quiet or keep a secret. For example, "You need to put a lid on it. So stop complaining and do your work."

Our reading today is on the working hour regulation in South Korea. Is your company doing anything to prepare for the new regulations? Our listening material today is a mock interview monologue. The vocabulary words will come from our reading material. I will explain the words in class and you will have to guess which word I am explaining. 

Vocabulary

• culprit - (noun) a person who is responsible for a crime or other misdeed. ALSO the cause of a problem or defect.
• precipitously- (adverb) hastily and without careful consideration.
• procrastination- (noun) the action of delaying or postponing something.
• myriad - (noun) (adj) a countless or extremely great number.
