Today is the last class in our current four-class set. We will begin class with our editing exercise.
The phrase of the week is, "calling people out." This is very similar to the slang phrase we learned, "putting someone on blast." It means to highlight someone's fault in a challenging manner. Sometimes this can lead to physical confrontations. For example, "I don't like it when you call me out in public."
The reading today is about 'bullshitting,' something we have all done in our lives. Our listening material is part 3 of episode 1 of Serial. I have prepared some listening questions. The vocabulary words will come from our reading. Please be able to describe them in class.
