Today is the first class in our current four-class set. We will begin with grammar unit 17. Our reading today is about being friends with your boss. The vocabulary words will come from our reading. Please be able to identify them in class. 

Vocabulary

• rapport - (noun) a close and harmonious relationship in which the people or groups concerned understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well.
• backfire - (verb) (of a plan or action) rebound adversely on the originator; have the opposite effect to what was intended.
• inevitably - (adverb) as is certain to happen; unavoidably.
• subordinate - (noun) a person under the authority or control of another within an organization (adj) lower in rank or position.
