Today is the twelfth class in our current seventeen-class set. We will begin class with our writing. This week we are rewriting some of our previous writings. 

The phrase of the week is, "truly killer app." Killer is a slang word we used to describe something great. For example, "I had some killer Mexican food last night."

Today's reading is about mobile phone trends. The vocabulary words will come from our reading. Please be able to describe them. 

Vocabulary

• conceive- (verb) become pregnant with (a child). OR form or devise (a plan or idea) in the mind.
• emulate- (verb) match or surpass (a person or achievement), typically by imitation. OR imitate 
• mundane - (adj) lacking interest or excitement; dull.
• squander- (verb) waste (something, especially money or time) in a reckless and foolish manner.
