Independent Study 8

Today is the second class in our current four-class set. Our grammar unit is unit 8.

The phrase of the week is, "instant and cheap gratification." We use this phrase to describe something that makes us feel good quickly. For example, "Watching TV is instant gratification."

Today's reading is about food trends in Korea. For the listening material, we will listen to some advice from Andrew Dobbie, the owner of Graphic Design and branding organization Made Brave. The vocabulary words will come from the reading. Please be able to describe them. I have added a fill in the blank transcript for the listening material. Please complete it at home, and we will rewrite it in class.

Emm I think just                   to people tell people what you do if your                         something- people can’t buy it from you if they don’t know about it. So you need to talk to people. You need to find the                            to do that. Emm, surround yourself with the right people. Iron sharpens iron, so like if you surround yourself with great                                 it tends to kind of rub off on you. So, that just a couple of tips from me I suppose.
