I hope everyone had a restful holiday. Today is the second class in our current four-class set. We will begin class with our Latin root words. 

The phrase of the week is, 'potus.' This is an acronym for President of the United States. What does, 'flotus' mean?

Today's reading is about the year of the dog and our listening material is about why America doesn't use the metric system. Please be able to explain the vocabulary words. The vocabulary words will come from the listening material. I will also have some quiz questions about the listening material.
