ERT Saturday Edition

Today is the last day of our current four class set. We will begin class with our translation exercise. Our grammar unit this week is unit 97.

The phrase of the week is, "product mix." A product mix refers to the complete range of products that is offered for sale by the company. For example, "The company hopes that changes to their product mix will increase sales."

Today's reading is about Toy R Us and our listening material is about Uber in London. Please listen and make examples for the vocabulary words. 

Vocabulary

  • stately- having a dignified, unhurried, and grand manner; majestic in manner and appearance.
  • backlash- a strong and adverse reaction by a large number of people, especially to a social or political development.
  • approach- a way of dealing with something. OR an act of speaking to someone for the first time about something, typically a proposal or request.
  • misstep- a mistake or blunder.
