In Depth Discussion (Red 2)

Today is the second class in our new four class set. We will begin class with a lip reading exercise. We have two phrases this week, "smoking gun" and "cold case." A smoking gun is hard evidence that is often used to prove someone is guilty. A cold case is a case that has not had any development for a long time, yet is still open if new evidence arises.

Today's reading is about a recently discovered photograph of Amelia Earhart and our listening material is about how one celebrity couple manages their busy schedule. Please listen and make examples for the vocabulary words.

Vocabulary

  • logistical- relating to or involving organization and planning.
  • golden ticket- A qualification, person or thing that can provide lucrative opportunities. A philosophy that a quick fix can be achieved.
  • by far- by a great amount.
