In Depth Discussion

Today is the final class in our current four class set. We will begin class with our trivia.

The phrase of the week is, "exception to the rule." We use this phrase to describe something or someone that doesn't follow normal patterns. For example, "Most little boys don't like to go to bed early, but I was an exception to the rule." This means that I always looked forward to going to sleep early.

Today's reading is about Emma Watson and our listening material is a scene from the film, Lion.  Please listen for and make examples for the vocabulary words.

Vocabulary

  • alienating
