In Depth Discussion (Red 2)

Today is the first class in our new four-class set. We will begin class with our catchphrase speaking exercise. 

Our phrases of the week will be some of Shakespeare's quotes that we see in our everyday lives. They can be found in the reading document. 

The reading this week is about memorizing Shakespeare. The listening material is about one woman's take on matchmakers in Pakistan. Please listen and be ready to explain the vocabulary words. 

Vocabulary

  • contraceptive- adj- (of a method or device) serving to prevent pregnancy. 
  • meek- adj- quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on; submissive. 
  • binder- noun- a thing or person that binds something, in particular. 
  • obsolete- adj- no longer produced or used; out of date.
