M. Gustave- Who are you?

Zero- I’m Zero sir, the new lobby boy.

M. Gustave- Zero you say?

Zero- Yes, sir.

M. Gustave- Well I’ve never heard of you, never laid eyes on you. Who hired you?

Zero- Mr. Mosher sir.

M. Gustave- Mr. Mosher!

Mr. Mosher- Yes, Monsieur Gustave.

M. Gustave- Am I to understand you surreptitiously hired this young man in the position of a lobby boy?

Mr. Mosher- He has been engaged for a trial period, pending your approval of course.

M. Gustave- Oh perhaps, yes. Thank you, Mr. Mosher.

Mr. Mosher- You’re most welcome Monsieur Gustave.

M. Gustave- You are now going to be officially interviewed.

Zero- Should I go and light the candle first sir?

M. Gustave- What? No.

M. Gustave- Experience.

Zero- Hotel Kinski, Kitchen Boy, six months. Hotel Berlitz, Mop and  Broom Boy, three months. Before that I was a Skillet Scrubber...

M Gustave- Experience, zero.

Guest- Thank you again, Monsieur Gustave.

M. Gustave- Straighten that cap, Anatole.

M. Gustave- The pleasure's mine, Herr Schneider.

Anatole- The strap's busted.

M. Gustave- These are not acceptable.

Flower Man- I fully agree.

M. Gustave- Education?

Zero- I studied reading and spelling. I started my primary school. I almost...

M. Gustave- Education, zero.

Worker- Now it's exploded.

M. Gustave- Good morning, Cicero. Call the goddamn plumber!

Frau Liebling- This afternoon, Monsieur Gustave?

M. Gustave- Without fail, Frau Liebling.
