My Crazy Friend
I believe in crazy friends, because everyone needs that one crazy friend that they can be themselves around. Mine was Michaela. We did a lot of crazy, possibly pointless things. We would “car dance” to our upbeat fun Kpop music. That was our favorite music to listen to. Michaela and I lived by the phrase dance like no one is watching every time the car stopped. We drove around a lot for no apparent reason. We spent a lot of time in the car.
Michaela and I took pointless trips just because we could. We usually waved at every car that drove past us and took a tally of all the people that waved back. That was fun for summer time, but we had fun during the winter also. Michaela and I would drive around in tank tops with the windows of the car rolled down, sunroof open, heater and music turned up. I’m sure when people saw us they thought we were crazy but it was fun.
One day when we had nothing to do, we stopped at the car wash. That’s just the place where we ended up. Michaela and I were looking through all the random things in my car. In our search for nothing, we found a box of thumb tacks. Michaela tacked a couple pictures to the ceiling of my car and it snowballed from there. Before we knew it, my ceiling was covered with random pictures, receipts, and anything else that was flat that we could find.
Michaela wasn’t only my craziest friend, she was also my best friend. She was the friend that I could always count on. My friendship with Michaela helped me grow as an individual. I found the fun side of life but also kept the serious parts when I needed to. I found the true meaning of friendship when I became friends with Michaela.
It would be nice if we didn’t live so far away from each other so we could still hang out. I haven’t found another friend like Michaela and I don’t think I ever will. I believe in crazy friends because everyone needs that one true crazy friend that they can be themselves around.
