Today is the third class in our current four-class set. We will begin class with our catchphrase speaking exercise. Our grammar unit is unit 104.
The phrase of the week is, "par excellence." This phrase means the best in their field and/or better than all the rest. We say this phrase with a French accent and we use it after the subject or object of a sentence. For example, "Shakespeare and Mozart were artists par excellence."
The reading was about Pony Ma and the massive tech company Tencent. Our listening material is about working 24 hours at an American fast casual restaurant, Chick-Fil-A. There will be no vocabulary words today. Instead, we will do some extended listen and write/listen and repeat.
