Today is the second class in our new four-class set. The phrase of the week is, "hinges on." This is another way of saying dependent on. For example, "My plans this weekend hinge on the weather."

• market system- A market economy is an economic system in which economic decisions and the pricing of goods and services are guided solely by the aggregate interactions of a country's individual citizens and businesses. There is little government intervention or central planning.
• expectations- a belief that someone will or should achieve something. OR a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future.
• incarcerated- imprison or confine
