ERT Thursday Edition

Today is the second class of our January four class set. We will begin class with unit 24 in our grammar book.

The phrase of the week is, "round up." This is a western cowboy phrase that we hear a lot in everyday speech. It refers to gathering or collecting. For example, "the teacher rounded up the students to go inside."

Today's reading is about teaching urban students farming and our listening material is about a doctor's strike in Kenya. Please listen for the vocabulary words and create your own examples.

Vocabulary

  • overwhelm
  • strain
