Welcome to your first class. There will be three classes this month. September 8th, 22nd, and 29th. We will not study on September 15th.

                           We will begin class with an introduction to our grammar book. I will have photo copies available, but I suggest you purchase the book later on. It is called Grammar in Use: Intermediate. 

                            Our phrase this week is, "play the hand you're dealt." This means, use what you have or what you have been given. For example, "two members of our team were sick, but we had to finish the project anyway. We had to play the hand we were dealt."

                             Our reading material is an interview with the CEO of MailChimp about loving what you do. Our listening material is about a restaurant in Los Angeles that serves the same food, but for different prices.
