Today is the third class in our current four class set. We will begin class with our quote presentations and selection of new quotes.
Our phrase of the week is, "right off the bat." This phrase means quickly or from the beginning. For example, "I applied for a job and right off the bat the called me back." They called me back quickly. Another example would be, "I took a test and right of the bat I knew I didn't do well." From the beginning of the test I know that my score would be low.
Our reading this week is about the student protests at Ewha Women's University. Our listening material is an interview with President Obama on his lucky charms. Please listen for and create examples for the vocabulary words.
