Today is the second class of our new four class set. We will begin with a writing prompt. The question is, "What does 'have your cake and eat it too' mean to you?" Simply tell us what you think it means or better yet give us an example.

                     At the beginning of next month we will have an in class writing challenge, you will be asked to write four short answer questions. All the questions will come from what we have already written about in class. The writing challenge will be in three weeks. 

                      We will introduce a Phrase of the Week. This week's phrase is, "I can see where they are coming from." This means that you can understand why a person is upset or bothered. We will go over more examples in class. 

                       Our reading material this week is about pollution and emigration. Our listening material is about practice and talent. Please listen for and review the vocabulary words.
