ERT Saturday Edition

Today is the first class of our December four class set. We will begin with unit 58 in our grammar book.

The phrases of the week are, "vis a vis" and "and hence." We use "vis a vis" to describe the relationship with or position. For example, "We need to discuss the test results vis a vis the national average." We use "and hence" is very similar to "so" or "there for". For example, "John is having a hard time learning Korean and hence decided to hire a teacher." Please be prepared to give examples in class.

Today's reading is about Korean civil service jobs and the listening material is about the relationship between wealth and aging. Please listen for and create examples for the vocabulary words.
