ERT Thursday Edition

Today is the last class of our current December four class set. We will take a short break and resume class on January 5th, 2017.  We will begin class with unit 22 in our grammar book.

Our phrase of the week is, "barely hit." This is a casual way of saying not much affect. For example, "All the students in the 4th grade class got sick, but 5th grade was barely hit." Meaning few students in the 5th grade got sick.

Today's reading is about convenience stores and our listening material is about the worst gift you have ever received. Please listen for and create examples for the vocabulary words.

Vocabulary

  • off-putting
  • reeling
  • eternity
