Today is the first class of our October four class set. We will begin class with an introduction to sentence diagramming. 

                      Our phrase of the week is, "it took....to realize." We use this phrase when we have learned a life lesson. For example, "It took me getting married, to realize how wonderful my parents are." This means I never really understood my parents' lives until I experienced marriage for myself. 

                       Today's reading is the classic Korean Short Story, The Shower, by Sun Won Hwang. We will read the first half and discuss the themes and characters. I would like us to try and answer this question, "Describe the personalities of the two main characters, use examples from the text to support your claim." 

                         Today's listening material is about a pizza company in California that uses robots and a specialized truck. Please listen for and create examples for the vocabulary words.
